Glendale Man Runs Red Light Under the Influence

GLENDALE-A motorist struck a motorcyclist after allegedly running a red light while under the influence of drugs. He was heading north on Glendale Blvd. in a 2000 Chevy pickup truck when he hit the motorcyclist who was riding a Harley Davidson attempting to make a left on to east Doran Street. A witness told police that Ramirez ran through the red light and hit the motorcyclist. Immediately after the crash police arrived and the motorcyclist was sent to the hospital after complaining of pain from injuries. An officer smelled marijuana while approaching Ramirez’s truck and found it soon thereafter in the center console. He claims to have a certificate to legally carry the drug, however police determined that he was under the influence at the time of the incident and was taken into custody.
