Glendale City Offers $50,000 Reward for Hit-and-Run Incident

GLENDALE- Glendale offered a $50,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of a hit-and-run driver.   The driver allegedly killed an 81-year-old Glendale man, Martiros Arutyunyan, who was  legally crossing Broadway from Belmont Street in Glendale.

Red Light Cameras are Becoming the Past

CALIFORNIA-In California, more than 60 cities and many counties have ended red-light camera programs since the data suggests that the cameras do not lower the risk or probability of accidents or injury-related accidents.

Elderly Man Struck at the Pomona Fairplex

POMONA — A 71-year-old man suffered injuries when he was struck by a roadster at the an exhibition hall at the Pomona Fairplex.  The injured man was flown to a hospital to treat his injuries as a result of the accident.

Car Crashes Into a Tree in Arcadia

ARCADIA- Fire engine units from Monrovia and Pasadena Fire Departments responded to a traffic collision with the occupants trapped on Baldwin Avenue. The driver was traveling at a high rate of speed and hit a tree.

A 79-Year-Old Bicyclist was Seriously Injured by a Car

GLENDORA-A 79-year -old bicyclist was in critical condition after his bicycle was struck by a car in Glendora.  The accident occurred at Foothill Boulevard and Elwood Avenue. The bicyclist was ejected into the air, and was not breathing when paramedics arrived.  He was revived and was taken to the hospital.

Three Children Injured

LOS ANGELES- Three children and two adults were rushed to a hospital after being struck by a car near an elementary school in Los Angeles county in the Highland Park neighborhood.

Glendale Man Killed In Accident

GLENDALE-An unnamed male driver was hit twice and killed by oncoming traffic after he got out of his car following a crash involving said driver. The initial car crash occurred when a 2001 Honda CRV stopped on a westbound lane of the 134 Freeway in Glendale and was rear-ended by a 2005 Toyota Solara. The driver of the Toyota Solara got out of his car and made his way to the center divider when he was struck by a car who was trying to avoid the two disable cars. This sent the man over the center divider wall onto the eastbound side of the freeway where he was struck a second time by a vehicle heading eastbound. The eastbound driver fled the scene and has not been located or identified. The crash remains under investigation and the name of the driver has not been released pending notification of next of kin.

Two Glendale Cars Crashes

GLENDALE-Two Glendale cars crashed into buildings in two separate accidents on April 23, 2013 at approximately 8:30 a.m. on the corner of Everett and Colorado.  The car accidents occurred within 30 minutes and the drivers were taken to Glendale Memorial Hospital after complaining of pain.

Motorcycle Accident on Angeles Crest

ANGELES NATIONAL FOREST (Glendale Area)– A 30-year-old motorcyclist died following a collision with a U.S. Forest Service SUV on Angeles Crest Highway, where he died at a hospital shortly thereafter near Woodwardia Canyon.

He was on his 2011 Triumph motorcycle he lost control for “unknown” reasons.  Both the rider and motorcycle collided with a U.S. Forest Service SUV, and the driver was not injured.  The cause of the crash remained under investigation by the CHP’s Altadena office.
